Hourly Wage: $19.00
Hours per Week: maximum of 16
Schedule: 8-hour days when in field (days worked flexible to meet schedule)
Reports to: TrainND Northwest Regional Director
Summary
The TrainND Northwest seasonal visual observer (VO) is responsible to participate as part of the crew for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flights performed by Vantis or any of their subcontractors. Duties when in the field will be to observe flight of uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) when in range and communicate to remote pilot in control (RPIC) state of UAS. Travel will be required (state fleet available) and training will be provided (no prior experience required).
Responsibilities
- Act as member of UAS BVLOS crew
- Observe and communicate status of UAS during flight
- Stay current on provided training
- Have own cell phone with wi-fi access and willing to use for communication during flights via Zoom meeting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outside in the elements
- Ability to visually observe objects in flight
- No prior knowledge or experience necessary
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.

- Interest in UAS
