Bilingual Paraprofessional

Position Overview: Willits Charter School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bilingual Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and a passion for working with middle and high school students in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to students in both English and Spanish, under the direction of classroom teachers
• Support students with language development, literacy, and academic skills in both English and Spanish
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as needed
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Assist students by reviewing and reinforcing basic instruction and acceptable positive behaviors.
• Follow guidelines to protect student health, safety, and well-being

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with teens in an educational setting
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Patience, flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of diverse learners

Requirements: Fingerprinting, TB test, Possession of valid CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), College coursework or a passing score on an academic knowledge test
