What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embedded System Engineer (Hardware) position at WiLO Networks?
WiLO Networks is looking for a passionate, self-motivated individual to work on RF system solutions for IoT. You'll be directly working with the management to shape our upcoming products. You will be responsible for designing wireless systems-level prototypes towards potential applications.
Your roles will include:
- Defining experiments using hardware mock-ups, experimental setups, circuit and system-level simulations to predict, understand risk areas.
- Design, implement, test, maintain, and document the MAC and link-layer protocol for WiLO Networks
- Work with the PHY team to make sure the network layer meets the PHY requirements
- Participate in architecture, design and code reviews and provide peer feedback
- Collaborating in optimizing product performance across hardware, software and algorithms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2 years of experience or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in embedded Linux C/C software development
- Skilled in troubleshooting and tuning of component hardware, software, networking and communications protocol problems
- Experience working with FPGAs, microcontrollers, IoT modules
- Scripting ability with Python or similar
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
