Job Details
OBJECTIVE: Performs a variety of technical and confidential duties related to the day-to-day functioning of the department. This may include activities related to reconciliations, student accounts, departmental deposits, grant reporting and other duties as assigned. Performs general office support functions and assists as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in preparation of documents related to quarterly and annual financial statements
- Prepare and maintain monthly asset and liability reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of grant information for reporting purposes
- Prepare journal entries for entry into the Colleague software system
- Prepare and analyze data for ongoing projects and new projects as assigned
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Assist with other accounting projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- Core hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Opportunity for work from home (telework) and/or flexible scheduling according to the needs of the department
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree with accounting experience preferred
- Experience with databases, Ellucian/Colleague preferred
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
