Bookkeeper
Wilson, Jones & Griffin, PA is a fast-growing CPA firm in Washington, NC and we are looking for a full-time bookkeeper to add to our team. The qualified candidate must be a team-player, reliable, organized, and detail oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing payroll, federal & state tax deposits, quarterly federal & state payroll tax returns, and end of year preparation of W2s and 1099s for various clients.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly NC sales tax returns.
- Monthly bank reconciliations for numerous clients.
- Preparing monthly financial statements.
- Make adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Working with other bookkeepers to help meet deadlines.
Job Requirements:
- Bookkeeping experience with various types of businesses is preferred but not required.
- An associate degree or higher in Accounting is preferred, this can be replaced with experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks. Experience using Accounting CS, Creative Solutions Accounting is also preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and NC payroll laws.
- Able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-pass environment.
- Willing and able to work extra hours as need to help meet deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and responsible.
- Must be able to do all job tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Must always act ethically and professionally.
Normal working house will be Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; January the hours will be 8:00-6:00, or later if needed, and some Saturdays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
