Job Title: Purchasing Supervisor

SUMMARY
Assist and/or oversees most Purchasing activities. Perform reconciliations and supervise other Purchasing/Audit employee(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include personally performing or overseeing the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage PO log.
Issue purchase orders.
Accept phone calls from employees requesting purchase orders.
Assure all information is complete on purchase orders.
Inquire about any missing information on purchase orders.
Investigate missing material. Gather information as to why the material was missing.
Communicate with purchasing employee that orders trims about missing items from packages.
Close previous days purchase order log. Identify the missing purchase orders for materials. Also, identify what needs billed.
Communicate with builders about open purchase orders.
Communicate with field management about missing change orders.
Identify billable extras.
Determine if extras should be bill and/or back charged.
Cross reference bids to see what was included in the bid. For example: we get paid for 3 gas drops but the bid shows 5. Reconcile this so we get properly paid by the builder.
A very high level of detail and organizational skills are required.
Any other task, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 1 year QuickBooks experience. Minimum 5 years performing reconciliations. Minimum 1 year Excel experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages or dollar values. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
