What are the responsibilities and job description for the COBOL DMSII ADMINISTRATOR position at Wilson-McShane Branding?
Wilson-McShane Corporation, a third-party administrator for Taft-Hartley benefit funds, has an opening for a full time COBOL DMSII Administrator with experience in MCP, COBOL, DMSII, WFL in a Unisys A-series/Clear Path environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Consult with leadership, team members, and end users to gather program specifications including requirements, functionality, and features.
- Create programs according to specifications from leadership, team members, and end users.
- Write and maintain programs, processes, and system documentation.
- Design and create user interface screens, reports, and system interfaces.
- Maintain and modify existing programs as necessary to implement corrections, modifications, and/or enhancements.
Database/Systems Administrator Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and Maintain DMSII databases. Including DMSII databases population, backup, archiving and recovery process.
- Prepare and run reorganization for DMSII and SQL databases.
- Copy DMSII data from production databases into the development environment.
- Maintain DMSII data feed into SQL databases.
- Maintain mainframes network and printer configuration.
- Maintain disk (families) space on the mainframes.
- Monitor MCP system performance, adjust MCP system configuration.
- Maintain MCP security configuration, create new user codes with requested access level.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
This role is an exempt position and has a compensation range of 90-110k. This role typically works within the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. This position offers a hybrid schedule; in-office approximately 3 days per week.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with or exposure to the following is highly preferred: SQL Server, HTML/CSS, ALGOL, current programming languages (i.e. C#, F#, etc.), Unisys/Attachmate/MicroFocus DATABRIDGE.
- Ability to work outside of M-F, 8-5 when necessary.
- Some travel to other WMC offices may be required.
