Building Maintenance A 

Wilwood Engineering, the leader in aftermarket high performance disc brake systems is seeking to hire a Building Maintenance A to perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. 

Job Description 

Reports to the Facilities Manager. Will receive instruction from the Facilities Supervisor as directed by the Facilities Manager. Scope of duties reflect a moderate level of ability and experience specifically related to Wilwood Facilities requirements. 

Summary: Under the direction of the Facilities Manager performs facilities maintenance and repair work in a diverse range of trade areas. Trains new employees on essential duties and responsibilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

· Drywall, electrical, carpentry and plumbing maintenance. 

· Electrical, mechanical and maintenance repairs to support and maintain small equipment. 

· Perform scheduled maintenance on gas and electric forklift 

· Keep work areas clean and safe while working and when finished for the day. 

· Keeps tools secured and stored when using and at the end of the day. 

· Maintain effective operational procedures to assure health and safety of all employees. 

· Alerts management to potential safety risks. 

· Duties performed in a spirit of teamwork. 

· Willingness to help train the Facilities Maintenance B position with your experience in Painting, flooring, drywall, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and maintenance repairs. 

· Seeks professional growth and advancement through continued education. 

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

A minimum of one (2) years’ experience in industrial facilities work. 

Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. 

· Aptitude to work with AC. and DC. voltages from 9 volt to 480 volt 

· Knowledgeable of materials and processes in a manufacturing environment in order to determine good safety practices. 

· Ability to work with hand tools, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, 

· Ability to work with power tools effectively and safely, table saw, power drills, skill saw, 

· Must have and maintain a current driver’s license and be able to drive company vehicles that include forklift, scissor lift, car, truck and van 

· Use of Lock Out Tag Out procedures to ensure the safety of self and co-workers 

· Knowledgeable of materials and processes in a manufacturing environment in order to determine good safety practices.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
