WIN Energy REMC - Warehouse Specialist

Job Overview:

WIN Energy REMC is dedicated to providing exceptional electric service to all within our service area. We are committed to maintaining a safe, orderly warehouse and pole yard to support efficient service delivery to our members. As a Warehouse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include maintaining inventory levels, managing materials, and supporting our cooperative personnel by providing necessary tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining adequate inventory of line materials, transformers, capacitors, and more.
• Perform periodic and annual material inventory counts.
• Accept material deliveries, unload, and place items into storage areas.
• Process requisitions and purchase orders.
• Keep warehouse and pole yard in a neat, orderly, and hazard-free condition.
• Evaluate items for salvage, return, or retirement.
• Perform monthly inspections of safety equipment and daily forklift safety inspections.
• Deliver materials to job sites and pick up supplies from local suppliers.
• Participate in on-call rotation duty, manage outage center activities, and assist in emergencies.
• Attend training programs and work-related classes to enhance job knowledge and performance.

Requirements:

• Education – High School Diploma or completion of G.E.D.
• Experience – Experience in the field of warehousing or materials management is desired.
• Licenses – Must have a valid Indiana Class A Commercial Drivers’ License or be able to obtain one within 1 year of employment.

Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor work with physical exertion. Regular hours Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends and after-hours as needed.
