Summary of duties:
- Builds Self-Contained HVAC units by assembling various complex component parts.
- Required to perform a variety of assembly operations, moving within the area to meet production needs, performing tasks including buildup, electrical assembly, brazing, interior/exterior component fit-up, and final assembly.
- Uses a computer for assembly drawings.
- Performs a quality check on the unit before it leaves the assembly station.
- Performs 5S procedures.
- Takes part in the training process for all new team members.
- Provides input regarding the performance of new team members.
- Participates with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teams.
- Works with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must have the ability to work well in a team environment and make sound decisions regarding workflow.
- Must be able to read blueprints, be familiar with order acknowledgement, and understand bill of materials.
- Must have experience with the use of power and hand tools, electrical assembly, and brazing.
- A minimum of one year of related assembly and brazing experience is preferred
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand written English.
