What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Quality Auditor position at WinCup?
Summary:
Responsible for providing assistance and directive leadership to the shift’s Quality Auditors who conducts visual audits and tests of finished goods to ensure quality standards are met and sustained.
Functions:
- Meets and communicates with either on coming or off going Lead Quality Auditors and other manufacturing Leads to review current issues such as quality, housekeeping or any changes needed.
- Reviews daily operation plans with Quality Manager and/or Shift Supervisor to ensure that all required quality audits and changes to schedules are implemented.
- Trains other team members on quality processes.
- Periodically will be required to have on-call availability
- Verifies compliance of quality checks are completed
- Assures proper paperwork and quality checks are filled out and kept on file.
- Provides directive leadership and ensures company policy and safety rules are being followed.
- Assists and audits production lines in accordance with established Quality Control Procedures and documents test results.
- Informs the Quality Manager and Production Supervisor of any defects found in a timely manner.
- Maintains departmental records, orders supplies and prepares solution formulation for seeper testing.
- Responsible for informing the leadership team immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure that corrective action is taken.
- Records all activities of inspections and audits on proper forms and submit to supervisor or plant manager as required or at end of shift.
- Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
- Follows all GMP and sanitation guidelines along with maintaining a high level of personal hygiene.
- Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping a clean work area at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Department Manager.
Physical Demands:
- Work an 8 or 12 hour shift while sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, use hands to finger, grasp with hands and arms, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and lifting throughout the entire shift.
- Requires the manual movement of cases of finished goods that weight up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Exposed to extreme heat. In-doors in a manufacturing environment that is not air conditioned.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards.
- Work an 8 or 12 hour day shift
- Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime
Qualifications:
Education – High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience – One year in a Quality Control or Quality Analyst position. One year in a manufacturing environment.
Skills – Basic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Microsoft Office, etc.). Good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English
