Salary Range: $22.00 - $22.00 Hourly
Description
The Renaissance Asheville Downtown Hotel is looking for an Engineer [2] Skilled to become part of our Engineering Team. As a skilled [2] Engineer you will be responsible for specific MEP activities in addition to the duties of our Engineers.
- Handles preventative maintenance of all equipment and update logs in Quore PM Program
- As required performs guest room preventative maintenance and logs all details in Quore PM program
- Directly responsible for the maintenance and functionality of the Kitchen and Laundry department equipment, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and reports all deficiencies to leadership. Works directly with vendors assisting leadership to receive bids for repairs and servicing
- Serves as a general I.T support in co-ordination with corp. IT leadership assisting with networking, cable runs, Master Key Systems etc.
- Under the general supervision of the Engineering Leadership, has direct responsibility for the pool operation, working closely with the 3rd party pool operators. As such is responsible for ensuring compliance with code, permitting etc.
- Responds to guest calls regarding guest room maintenance issues
- Follows all security and safety protocols
- Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc. in compliance with hotel Emergency Procedures
- Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to a year of experience in Engineering Position
- Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
- CPO certification
- Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment and I.T
- Ability to read and speak and write English.
- Eight-hour shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
- Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours.
- Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
