- Takes an active role in direct resident assessment and care;
- Supervises and coordinates nursing personnel in providing direct resident
- Formulates individualized nursing care plans utilizing the nursing
- Assesses each resident daily and implements a change in the course of
- Assists the physician on rounds and ensures that pertinent information is
- Participates in the training and supervision of nursing personnel;
- Utilizes effectively the general principles of leadership and
- Manages conflict through effective problem-solving and communication
- Acts calmly and efficiently in handling emergency situations;
- Prepares daily assignment of duties, treatments, and miscellaneous tasks;
- Assists with implementation of facility’s Quality Improvement Program;
- Assumes responsibility for the identification of potential safety hazards
- Maintains accurate resident care records and documents pertinent data
- Attends and participates productively in the resident care meetings,
- Maintains active licensure;
- Attends all mandated in-services;
- Takes an active role in teaching (formal or informal presentation) with
- Dispenses medication and performs treatments, as requested, and in
- Assures that each resident’s attending physician and family or
- Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures;
- Comply with standards of business conduct, and state/federal regulations
- Follow appropriate safety and hygiene measures at all times to protect
- Attend care plan meetings of assigned residents;
- Participate QAPI or facility assessment activities as needed, such as
- As a condition of employment, complete all assigned training and skills competency;
- Participate in all life safety and emergency drills and trainings;
- Fulfill responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation
- User proper lifting and body mechanics while delivering care to residents;
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including
- Report non-compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches
- Report any retaliation to the Human Resource Director and to the
- Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property,
- Fulfill individual responsibility to report any suspicion of a crime to law
- Protect residents from abuse, and cooperate with all investigations;
- Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious
