JOB SUMMARY

Most Digital Content Creators are word wizards who can connect and engage with people through social media yet make everyone feel like they’re besties, sitting right next to each other on a cozy couch. You make it look easy and effortless in your writing style, but there’s a lot of care that goes into it. You pride yourself on being able to tap into someone else’s “voice” and write what you know needs to be said. At Wine To Water, our Digital Content Creator will have the awesome responsibility of engaging, educating and inspiring others to join us in supporting life and dignity for all through the power of clean water.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage, create and publish original, high quality content and impact stories on all our platforms (Facebook, Instagram, website & blog content).

Create, manage and maintain content calendars to ensure timely delivery of content

Design creative, eye-catching graphics for social media posts (i.e. design IG stories, etc.).

Hone and develop Wine To Water’s “voice” and tone. We think it should be fun, engaging and authentic.

Manage our photo and video assets in our library.

Help with designing our email blasts, ensuring consistent brand and voice. Expect to design 1-2 per month.

Monitor the daily cultural pulse of the Wine To Water community, through community management, including DMs and mentions on all social media channels.

Stay up-to-date with Instagram and Facebook Group best practices, trends and features.

Develop and implement social media strategies for campaign launches, end of year giving and new partnerships.

Work with our Marketing Team to develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our web traffic, build brand awareness and achieve marketing KPIs.

Develop ideas for new content.

Produce high-quality multimedia content including images, videos, and infographics

Design feature images for content as needed.

Present weekly reports on content metrics (web traffic, leads, bounce rate, click through rates, sales etc.) and provide strategic insight on improving content metrics.

Pull together a cohesive brand style guide for use across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field

Proven work experience as a Digital Content Creator or similar role

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience

Excellent writing and editing skills in English

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar software

Experience with video editing software (e.g. Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)

Experience with content management systems (CMS)

Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics

Exceptional creativity and a strong passion for nonprofit work and social media

Passion for creating engaging and innovative digital content

Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective audiences

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, DOCUMENTATION AND SAFETY

Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment; the employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, and at times may be required to lift 25 pounds and can be exposed to indoor, outdoor temperatures and various living situations. Must be able to operate motorized vehicles with a valid license.

Required domestic and international travel documentation and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries may be necessary to perform this role - This role may be in high risk zones and will require documentation and medical clearance by various governments to enter disaster areas with significant public health risks.

Exceptional understanding of risk management policies and best practices

Adhere to W|W’s safety action plan and procedures.

THE TEAM

This role is on the Marketing and Communications Team. You will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications and work closely with other members of the Marketing Team. At times when required, you will be included in meetings with other departments, as requests for content come into the team (Fund Development for donor emails, FilterBuild for volunteer communications, etc.)
