Full -time/ Part-time Wing Crew Members

Wing Basket is a fast-casual restaurant specializing in chicken wings! We have been voted best wings in Nashville by Local Eats several years running! Our wings are fresh, never frozen, and cooked to order. We are looking for a friendly, self-motivated individual to join our team. Excellent customer service skills are a must.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers pleasantly and take orders in person or on the phone. Complete sale transactions on cash register.

• Responsible for food prep. Set up work stations and ingredients.

• Prepare, cook, and season food. Follow recipes, use ovens, grills, microwaves, and other industrial cooking apparatus, measure and weigh ingredients, monitor food for freshness and safety, maintain a clean kitchen and store ingredients properly.

• Responsible for cleaning equipment, their work area, and cleaning the restaurant/dining area, as required.

• Employee’s must always wear gloves while preparing food and serving food.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Experience and Requirements:

• Communication Skills: Communication is crucial in a kitchen. You will need to read orders and talk to your fellow cooks to make sure the food is delivered hot and delicious.

• Customer Service Skills: Customers may have special requests or complaints. Service with a smile will be necessary.

• Hand-Eye Coordination: Cooking requires great knife skills, proximity to fire and many dangerous elements. A steady hand will help you greatly

• Teamwork: You will need to be able to work as a team to create a great dining experience for customers.

• Attire and Grooming: Always practice proper daily hygiene and grooming to appropriately function in the workplace. Must always be in company provided uniform (shirt and hat) while at work. Rings (except for a plain band without stones), bracelets, watches, and other jewelry must be removed from hands, face, neck, and arms. Wearing certain jewelry such as bracelets, watches, and rings, is not allowed as it could fall into food, creating a physical hazard.

• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

• Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.

• Required to talk or hear.

• Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb

• Finger dexterity required.

• Hand coordination required.

• Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus

• Exposure to raw foods.

• Exposure to hot grease.

• Exposure to sharp objects that are routinely found in a kitchen environment.

• The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate.
