This is an exciting opportunity for the Fabrication Estimator/Project Manager to be a member of our Sales team. The candidate chosen for this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relations and the efficient processing of cost estimates to provide quotes to customers. After receiving the order for the project, this individual will work closely with the customer and team to manage projects from start to finish through final installation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops a scope of work, estimates, and customer submittal.
- Completes detailed estimates using drawings while consistently following up on quotes.
- Provides order status updates to customers.
- Determines the best method to resolve problems ensuring both customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
- Manages all projects converted from estimates to orders and works with the engineering and manufacturing team to insure and changes or adjustments are completed.
- Consults with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Evaluates project related processes and makes necessary changes and improvements, using customer input, meeting and exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in stainless steel fabrication environment.
- Bachelor’s degree(preferred) or equivalent sales / estimating experience in the foodservice fabrication industry.
- Ability to read work scopes, project specifications, and perform take-offs on bid documents.
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project. Preferred skills: AutoCAD, Auto quotes, and Salesforce.
- Knowledge of stainless steel and aluminum is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger.
- Handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Able to wear required PPE such as eye and protection and protective clothing.
