Our partner, a prestigious hospital located in the Bronx, has an opening for a Senior Research Contracts Specialist.
Job Description:
The SR. Research Contracts Specialist is responsible for pre-award functions and will provide critical contract support to internal stakeholders and be the point of contact with outside parties on most contract matters.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
- Review, analyze, negotiate and finalize all terms and conditions of assigned contracts including but not limited to Confidentiality/Non Disclosure Agreements (CDA/NDA), and Industry Sponsored Clinical Trial Agreements (CTA), Maser Agreements, Amendments, with industry sponsors, academic medical center, university and private foundation sponsors.
- Manage study submissions and human subject research contracts
- Ensure that contracts and agreements are managed in an time efficient and effective manner
- Provide administrative support and coordination throughout the pre-award phase
- Maintain and actively support review and development of contract templates and site-specific files and databases
- Communicates directly with Principal Investigators and research study staff regarding status of negotiation and to alert them of potential issues in the contract
- Provide insight, experience, and expertise to help influence ongoing improvement initiatives and the overall growth of the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
- 3 years work experience required
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proficient in platforms such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, etc.
- Strong knowledge of the clinical research life cycle required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to correctly decipher regulatory or procedural language
- Ability to understand and identify risks with, or gaps in system and processes
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
