Job description

Gathering requirements internally, externally for mentioned areas and working together with other architecture teams to interpret, create and maintain, and further plan activities in the architecture domain.
Person is also key in moving from future architecture proven by proof of concept phase to reference architectures and solution architectures in services.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, controllers.
- Design and development of the network architecture and development IP products (Internet, IP VPN, SDWAN) and Services which includes High level/low-level designs.
- Perform Network Planning, modelling and analysis.
- Design, test, and inspect network systems
- Manage technical network solutions and frameworks
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
- Install and maintain hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points
- Upgrade Existing network components
- Implementation of network standards and services architecture in solutions designs
- Provide all the required documentation, system diagrams, provisioning, and troubleshooting guides
- Manage security countermeasures when network vulnerabilities arise
- Supports TAC with vendor escalations, in debugging the technical problems as the last point of contact
- Supports and delivers development of network improvements and drives continual improvement.
- Should have experience in Network Solutions using multi-vendor network products, like Cisco, Meraki.
- Manage multiple technology vendors
- Support in pre-sale bidding and SOW/PO preparation as a Solution cum Technical Expert
- Well-known networking knowledge of protocols, devices, commands, topologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills are required as they must communicate with the relevant parties / international clients as they are often required to report to business leaders
- The ability to communicate information confidently, clearly, and professionally is essential
- The candidate must have multi-tasking skills and the ability to do various jobs at one time.
- The candidate must adhere to the policies of the organization and the candidate should be able to complete the tasks on time.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills are needed because troubleshooting requires experience and patience. The candidate must possess both to become a Network design engineer (Expert level).
- Network Architect should be flexible enough as they often work on schedule time
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience working on Networking technologies.as a full time Architect or Subject Matter Expert
Knowledge of the below technologies:
- Cisco ACI: Extensive experience / Hands on Experience (Implementation, Upgrade etc.
- IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, VRRP, DHCP, DNS
- Routing and MPLS with (BGP, OSPF or ISIS, Service provider Internet architectures,)
- Services (Internet, L2/L3, MPLS VPNs)
- Ethernet Switching (STP/RSTP, 802.1Q)
- Strong expertise in Enterprise WAN architectures.
- Familiarity with firewall, QoS, and wan optimization concepts.
- Network Security technologies or protocols or platforms (Firewalls, ACLs, TACACS,)
- Routing Protocols: BGP, OSFP, EIGRP, Static Route
- Switching Technologies: VLAN, STP, Ether Channel, Port Security
- Apt in configuration and troubleshooting of VLANs, VTP on Cisco switches, PVST, RSTP, STP, HSRP.
- Knowledge on configuring Inter VLAN routing.
- Switch Configurations like Trunk/Access.
- Nexus VPC/VDC
- Experience in Cisco Wireless
- Upgrade of Cisco switches, routers, Nexus devices, Cisco WLC
- Configuration of IPam/Infoblox
- Hardware: Cisco Catalyst Switch, Cisco ISR/ASR router, Cisco Wireless Controller, Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/3k
Experience on below vendors Platform (Hands-on is a must):
- Cisco Platforms: IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS/IOS-XR
- Fortigate firewall
- Solarwinds monitoring.
- Ansible & Python scripting knowledge.
