Job Description
The Systems Engineer's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in- house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares detailed specifications, identifies required inputs, and participates in the design, development, and testing of systems.
- Coordinates installation with the end user, tests configuration and recommends modifications to improve functionality, ensuring satisfactory results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, define, and implement technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Ensures data integration and communication between interrelated systems.
- Analyzes system infrastructure for compliance with technical design documents.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and installations with minimal disruption to business operations, following industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and areas for improvement, and implement appropriate security measures.
- Works with users to identify system requirements; develops processing procedures and systems modifications to meet these specifications.
- Uses structured and cost analysis to identify and recommend updates to the current network and computer systems.
- Drafts informational materials and graphics to explain systems to managers and users.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- May be responsible for designing a data contingency plan or data disaster recovery plan.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for system enhancements, optimizations, and cost efficiencies.
- Lead or participate in projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
- 3 years of experience with supporting infrastructure, systems administration, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows systems administration and Active Directory
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and HyperV
- Experience with DNS and DHCP technologies
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with system performance monitoring & fine-tuning
- Solid understanding of security principles and best practices, with experience implementing and managing security measures
- Experience with back up technologies (Veeam)
- Attention to detail, and a drive to be successful; ability to work independently with minimal supervision or assistance
- Experience writing detailed and clear procedures and documentations that are easy to follow
- Strong problem solving, innovation, collaboration, and analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the following areas is a plus, but not required: CrowdStrike Falcon, AWS Services, SAN/NAS Storage, Multi-Domain environment, Microsoft ADFS, Microsoft DFS.
- Additional advanced certifications preferred(i.e. Microsoft, VMWare)
- ITIL certification preferred; or equivalent working knowledge
