Key Responsibilities:

Job Summary: Compiles and records production data for Mill to prepare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of raw material, quality control, and other aspects of production by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Compiles and records production data from: individual worker production sheets, customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and other documents.

Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced or used, receives production, documents frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.

Controls the posting of production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed.

Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.

Prepares and reviews time, attendance, vacation, and production reports.

Sorts and distributes work cards or material to workers.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Technical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities: Computers, typewriters, and calculator usage skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
