What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barge cleaners position at WISE Staffing?
We are looking for dependable and hard working barge workers for our cleaning docks. Experience is preferred but not required.
We offer a very aggressive training program for intercompany advancement
PAY: $18/hr Weekly
SCHEDULE:
fully staffed: (6-6) 3 on days, 3 on nights, 3 off
Short staffed: (6-6) 4 on days, 2 on nights, 2 off
UP TO 20 HOURS A WEEK OVERTIME AVAILABLE!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Applicants must be able to work a variable schedules. Job duties are as follows, but not limited to:
90 day temp to permanent hire

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Applicants must be able to work a variable schedules. Job duties are as follows, but not limited to:
- Securing barges
- handling fire hose
- general labor (sweeping, shoveling ETC)
- operating equipment (skid steer, backhoe, crane)
- general maintenance
- maintaining required paperwork
- you must be COACHABLE!
- You must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check
- at least 18 years of age
- must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- must have a valid drivers license
- must have dependable transportation, no exceptions
- must be available to work various hours/holidays/weekends
- must pass a pre-employment physical once permanent position is offered after 90 days
- must be capable of walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up/down stairs & ladders, negotiation uneven and moving surfaces
- must be able to work in all conditions (rain, snow, heat, ice, wind, ETC)
- must be comfortable working on barges
- ability to lift up to 75lbs and work at protected heights up to 40ft
