Outside Sales Representative – Louisville Kentucky - Electrical Division

Wiseway Supply is looking for a proven contributor to join our Electrical Sales Division as an Outside Sales Representative in the Louisville Kentucky area. The ideal candidate is EMERSED IN THE LOUISVILLE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS MARKET AND IS an energetic team player who understands how to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company. The candidate must also be able to develop relationships and identify opportunities to develop and increase sales and provide excellent customer service. The candidate must have an interest in innovating to solve business problems, a willingness to immediately tackle key challenges, and thrive in a customer service/sales environment.

Summary of Job: Responsible for the effective development and management of assigned accounts. This includes sales growth, customer service, and relationship development.
Essential Functions:
- Build customer relationships, attain assigned sales and GP$ budgets by devising a sales strategy, and plan, and executing a plan for each customer
- Be knowledgeable about, and ensure continuous improvement and promotion of, Wiseway’s customer services and value-added benefits
- Work with key manufacturers to improve customer connection with Wiseway through joint sales
- Communicate and work with Inside Sales to maximize customer service, e.g., order and pricing accuracy, etc.
- Provide impeccable customer service including quotation follow-up and follow-through on customer requests
- Maintain Wiseway’s profile by actively participating in local industry and trade association functions
- Ensure customers fully support all Wiseway marketing initiatives, e.g., customer events, product promotions, etc.
- Maintain proficiency in Wiseway operational procedures and the operation of the Wiseway computer system
- Continually improve product and technical knowledge
- Meet regularly with the Manager to review accounts and performance plan
- Communicate with the Credit Department to ensure account information is current, e.g., contacts, credit “rumors,” etc.
- Continually maintain awareness of the market, competitive, and economic conditions that may affect sales of Company products
- Conduct quarterly customer business reviews to identify sales/GP$ growth opportunities, using PHOCAS software.
- Conduct comprehensive customer business review with the purpose of opportunity identification within the account
- All other duties as assigned
Education: Associate degree or three (3) years of industry-related and customer service experience. A BS or BA degree is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of industry experience in outside sales
- Working knowledge of residential and commercial electrical products and solutions is preferred

Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail and accuracy; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; independent; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; excellent interpersonal skills; representing his/her self professionally and courteously; ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally; ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy. Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
