ExemptJob Role Summary
The Senior Programmer SAP S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, Fiori, and Benefit Focus - creates, modifies and maintains existing programs, ad hoc reports, interfaces, and documentation as required to satisfy new or additional output requirements, under the supervision of the Manager or Director. This position serves as Project Manager for small to medium projects using project methodology tools and techniques.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Evaluates system requirements in order to understand processing
- Provides customer centric support for applications assigned. Meets with customers to identify issues that require remedy, either through reporting, screen changes, additional data fields, vendor customization, interfaces, workflows, UI5, Fiori, and CPI
- Recommends new approaches and additional tools/drill-downs for customer requirements and projected needs
- Coordinates programming, report generation and training needs; serves as a liaison with other departments, vendors and consultants
- Creates and maintains SAP programming library, along with supporting documentation and materials
- Corrects, modifies and maintains existing programs, ad hoc reports, ORD, SAP query tools and documentation as required to satisfy new or additional output requirements, under the supervision of the Manager or Director
- Develops and maintains SAP programming standards and protocols using ODS, AMDP, and proxy methods as a push down approach for the department
- Maintains IDocs within SAP for operational efficiency and per system requirements.
- Creates and maintains interfaces, including function modules, user exits, BADI/BAPI, LCMW and batch programming
- Supports workflow in S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, Fiori, and Benefit focus
- Assists end-clients with the development, design and execution of SAP programs for all modules
- Develops working level knowledge of all SAP modules in order to allow for effective communication and coordination with SAP Application Analysts
- Prepares documentation governing the running of each new or revised program. Periodically reviews run specifications to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provides level 3 dedicated client support for primary applications assigned, level 2 support for other applications and under minimal direction of other Senior Applications Analysts, Manager or the Director
- Documents system specific processes and operational concerns as directed by senior analysts or management
- Receives testing specifications from other Senior Applications Analyst, Manager or Director of Application Support with data of sufficient volume and variety to adequately test all routines of program including error and exception handling, checkpoint/restart and recovery routines. Conducts program tests of all items listed above and reviews results of each with Senior Applications Analyst, Manager or Director.
- Assists senior staff in the overall support of the Eskenazi Health IS Applications
- Participates in system support meetings including status meetings within IS and with business owners
- Communicates with other Information Services staff and management regarding all technical aspects of data resources
- Assumes leadership responsibility over dedicated/primary applications
- Build and change data models in BI/BO
- Develop, build, and maintain smart forms, adobe forms, and user scripts
- Develop, build, and maintain Fiori Apps using UI5 technologies
- Maintain interfaces between S/4 HANA and Fiori using ODATA
- Uses OOPS methodology for all ABAP programming in S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, and Fiori
- Uses CPI for interfaces between S/4 HANA and third party systems
- Supports PI/PO
- Uses ABIs, SOAP, and REST protocols
- Supports Web Dynpro Forms
- Configures tiles in Fiori
Job Requirements
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Computer Sciences or equivalent and a minimum of five years experience as an Applications Analyst in SAP S/4 HANA and SuccessFactors OR
Bachelors Degree in computer information systems or equivalent and a minimum of seven years of experience as an SAP Applications Analyst
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
General knowledge of project management concepts and techniques
Strong background in IT organizational concepts and practices
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Ability to work under minimal supervision and carry out the required tasks
Ability to solve problems of medium to large complexity
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong background in a financial system in the areas of Accounting, HR, Payroll, or Materials Management
Ability to understand data flow and to document processes and procedures accordingly
General knowledge of Project Management
Ability to utilize application software and utilities to perform analyses, generate reports, sort and organize data
Ability to train application analysts as well as non-technical users
Ability to communicate clearly in both areas of technology and standard business applications
