Position Summary:
Coordinates and supports all marketing functions including, but not limited to all marketing communication channels including social media, website, internal/external outreach, collateral, content creation, copy writing, graphic design, website management, email communications, photography & videography, event conceptualization, planning, and execution, along with resort activity programming, community programs & relationships, media & advertising assistance, and donation request fulfillment.
Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf, and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform a range of duties outside of their primary job description as the calendar, weather, operations schedule, and business levels require.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for support of the day-to-day onsite resort marketing responsibilities.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in creation, planning, execution, and evaluation of all marketing functions including advertising, public & media relations, product mix & eCommerce, and community relations.
- Adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct recognizing this position represents the company in the community, values, and brand.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Manager on scheduling, goals, analytics, reporting, and seasonal evaluations.
- Assist with developing programs to communicate promotions and marketing efforts of all departments across the resort.
- Help to maintain the needed collateral and office supply inventories.
- Assist the Marketing Manager with designing, producing, and installation of resort-wide collateral/posters and directional signage.
- Assist with internal and external communications of programs, events, promotions, products, pricing, events, and general resort information.
- Help write copy for a variety of marketing and advertising purposes.
- Support the Marketing Manager by regularly reviewing and updating website content.
- Assist with photography & videography production, editing, and cataloging.
- Support the Marketing Manager with daily snow reporting throughout the winter season.
- Help enhance community and internal resort relations through regular communications, programs, and promotions.
- In conjunction with the Marketing Manager maintain the resort brand and creative consistency of all marketing assets and communications.
- Support the Marketing Manager, other departments, and cross-train where needed to assist operations.
- Along with the marketing team assist with conceptualizing, planning, and executing a year-long calendar of events and resort programming.
- Assist the Marketing Manager to meet organizational goals, values, and guest services standards.
- Maintain a guest-centric focus and awareness of safety.
Qualifications/Attributes:

- Ability to work with all resort departments and coordinate resort programming, events, and activations.
- A working knowledge of resort information technology, which may include Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, NetSuite Purchase requests/orders, WordPress, and Siriusware.
- Demonstrate leadership amongst the department Directors, Managers, and Supervisors.
- An understanding of budgets to help monitor the status of marketing spends and effectiveness.
- A knowledge of resort products, services, pricing, procedures, and policies.
- Maintain the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks that are often under strict time requirements.
- Exhibit a willingness to accept change and understand responsibilities and requirements may evolve.
- A general awareness of resorts in the competitive set, hospitality management, and industry trends.
- Exhibit an ongoing willingness and desire to learn new systems.
- Work well independently and as a resort team member.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate degree in a related area or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing
- Proficiency on PC applications specifically graphic design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite
Language Skills:
- Demonstrated mastery of English
- Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
