What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wispers Steward position at Wisp Resort?
Position Summary: Ensuring the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times. Maintains a proper level of clean inventory with a high standard of cleanliness according to the sanitation code.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform other duties outside of the job description. Also, hours of operation are 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
Position level will be determined based upon experience.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: All Levels 1 and 2
- Washes and stores all dishes, trays, utensils, cups and equipment used.
- Sets up and breaks down dish machine. Cleans and polishes machine thoroughly and checks to see it is operating correctly.
- Removes trash from kitchen area and cleans and sanitizes trash receptacles.
- Assists the Cooks and Servers as necessary.
- Records all breakage.
- Exhibits ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with limited supervision in a team environment.
Level 1 and 2 are based on years of experience.
- Level 1 – NE01 - Entry level, little direct experience.
- Level 2 – NE02 - 1-2 years’ experience, still developing knowledge/skills, exhibits some core competencies.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent, unless company sees capability without minimum education requirement
- Previous kitchen experience helpful
