Wisper Internet is expanding. With offices located in Illinois and Missouri, we are a leading wireless high-speed internet provider in the Midwest. We provide reliable service, focusing on rural and outlying communities.

Salary: Base salary commission up to $150,000 annual total
Hours: Mon-Fri 8AM- 5PM Central- after hours as needed by Department
Overnight travel: up to 20%

This position is located out of our Mascoutah, IL office. Regular in-office work is required 5x per week.

Wisper Internet is seeking a full-time exempt Sales Director to join our Sales team. In this role, the primary responsibilities will include oversight of the sales operations for a leading wireless internet service provider in the Midwest. The focus of this position will include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with customers, evaluating product costs to determine pricing when selling to customers, leading and developing the sales team, and reporting status of sales strategies to leadership. The Sales Director will work closely with various internal departments and external vendors to meet the needs of the business.

Sales Director

Essential Job Functions

  • Drive revenue by designing & executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets for a multi-state operation with a recurring revenue model
  • Oversight of the entire sales process
  • Create & communicate sales goals & ensure C-level executives are informed on progress of goals
  • Build & maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers, communities & vendors
  • Understand industry-specific trends & landscapes
  • Effectively communicate between partnering departments
  • Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts & tactical budgets
  • Develop outside sales and business sales plans with commission and incentive components
  • Hire, train, develop & manage a high-performing team
  • 20% overnight travel required
  • Responsible for up to 5 direct reports
  • Reports directly to the COO
  • Other duties as directed

Job Requirements

  • 5 Years of relatable fast-paced work/industry experience
  • 5 Years of proven operational leadership experience
  • 5 Years of experience with CRM software
  • 5 Years of Microsoft Office experience
  • 5 Years of experience managing department budgets
  • Current Driver's License
  • Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
  • Must pass a background check, MVR & drug screen

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, business administration or relatable field of study

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating priorities
  • Work is performed primarily inside an office at a desk/or in a remote home office environment

Physical Requirements: X- Light: Lifting 0-10 lbs.

Must be able to pass a Background Check, Motor Vehicle record check and a Drug Screen panel successfully.
