Wister’s Bar & Grill is looking for experienced bartenders to provide incredible quality service to our guests. We are looking for an engaging and experienced Bartender to provide attentive and friendly service to our bar patrons. You must have working knowledge of different types of beer, wine, and liquor, and the know-how to mix a variety of specialty beverages. We expect our bartenders to engage with our customers while ensuring the best standard of service. You will also be responsible for balancing the cash register, taking inventory of stock, prepping ingredients for craft cocktails
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience working as a bartender
- Must be able to lift 20-pound boxes and stand for an 8-hour shift
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent memory, strong work ethic, knack for leadership
- Inform customers of specials and menu changes
- Make recommendations you genuinely feel your customers will enjoy
- Up-sell food & beverage items using suggestive selling technique
- Answer questions regarding food/drink preparation, taste, and ingredients, knowledge of possible allergens in ingredient lists.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
- Maintain clean service areas
- Monitor and observe customers dining experience. Ensure customers are satisfied with the food and service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests .
- Prepare final bill, present check to customer, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers and support staff as situations arise
- Works well on a team
- Demonstrates integrity in decision making.

Responsibilities:
- Take beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested
- Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits
- Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
- Monitor all patrons for alcohol intake to appropriate levels
- Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
- Keep bar area clean, safe and organized
- Maintain a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
- Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
- Place orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies
- Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks
