What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace position at Witco?
Witco is currently looking for an individual with extensive CNC setup and machining or programming background who is ready to move into a position where they are processing customer drawings into individual machining operations, creating CAD models, operational drawings, job packets and assisting machinists with setups, operation improvements and training. Our manufacturing engineers are the life line between the customer and the machinists.

REQUIRED abilities:
- Good computer skills a must! Experience with Solid Edge a big plus.
- 5 – 10 years independently performing set- ups and adjustments of CNC Mills or Lathes
- 5 – 7 years minimum in the industry of metal machining to tight tolerances (.0001)
- G-Code Programming at the machine
- Understanding of tooling applications to perform machine operations
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut
- Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material
- Change standard cutting tools and reset machine to proper size
- Adjust basic offsets to maintain part integrity
- Blue Print Reading
- GD&T
- Machining various types of materials

Located near Yale, Michigan, Witco Inc. is a precision CNC Turning, Milling, and Gear Cutting company that services various global industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Metal Mining, and Oil and Gas. We are a short run facility with typical build sizes ranging from 10-pieces to 500-pieces.
