Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Controls downtime by doing routine inspections and reporting results so that deficiencies can be corrected during PMs.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level and report supplies used.
• Effective interface with production personnel.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by being flexible.

Qualifications:

• Equipment Maintenance
• Technical Understanding
• Skilled in using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
• Understanding of power transmission components
• Textile carding and cross-lapping experience

Work Environment:

Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise levels, excessive heat and vibrations, fumes and airborne particles, as well as Exposure to moving mechanical parts. Ability to get along well with co-workers.
