About the Job
Managers employees and operations of transportation logistics, onsite leachate duties, and onsite contractors. Position would be Monday - Friday standard business hours. Could be times when needed to stay late or come in on a Saturday depending on the needs of the site.
What You'll be Doing
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Oversee loading, spill control, pump operations, and safety at lagoon complex
- Logistics planning for all leachate third party haulers to various disposal locations
- Oversee personnel needs of the department including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Responsible for hiring/termination, compensation, and promotional decisions for employees.
- Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness, and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
- Assembles and analyzes data. Tests and monitors results and creates appropriate reports.
- Serves as a liaison between site and vendors, contractors, management, security, and others
- Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations
- Plan, organize, and manage leachate system design, construction, and operations
Supervisory Responsibilities
Position will have Supervision of roughly 1 - 2 employees
What does it take to be a Leachate Operations Manager with WM?
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: Associate's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: 7 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
