WNA is seeking Director and Senior Manager level program and project leaders to collaborate with and transform our clients. WNA is hiring SW QA, test and process experts to innovate effective approaches to large-scale, end-to-end Quality Assurance that will result in more efficient, effective, collaborative, lower cost execution combined with improved early-cycle and life-cycle results, an outstanding internal and end-customer experience, and insightful reporting. 

The ideal candidate should be a transformational leader and project accelerator, with a broad range of experience across the software development life-cycle. Should move confidently in large-scale test environments across E2E, UAT, UET, PVT, performance, perturbation, automation, chaos, and the simian army or other test regimes.  Familiarity with business transformation, product and software release, test strategy, automation, implementation and execution, open source and collaborative QA approaches, defect triage, risk management, availability, disaster recovery, forensics, metrics and reporting a must. 

Great verbal, listening, written and presentation communication skills required.  WNA seeks executive presence and those concerned with the relentless pursuit of quality in process and result.  Excellent project management skills and do-what-it-takes, high availability, highly responsive, customer-focused disposition are required to succeed in this position. 

We are not seeking CVs with multiple pages of software domains, tools, languages, and matching phrases.  We are seeking persuasive leaders to educate and motivate established organizations to succeed by adopting the most effective processes, tools and structures in high-performing teams.

Skills and Experience:   

  • Program and project management, leadership and transformation skills.
  • 2+ years experience testing Telecom OSS/BSS helpful.  Exposure in this industry and domain, but not limited to just telecom and testing career tracks.  Other industry and functional experience valued.
  • Candidates will have provided services and solutions to major carriers—either as employee or consultant—including business transformation, migrations, business process optimization, enterprise technology integration, full software development life cycle, cloud solutions, solution and data architecture, project leadership and management, risk management, program management process and systems outsourcing, managed services, and offshore development.
  • Strong knowledge in failure monitoring, automated testing, configuration management, release processes. Familiarity with chaos engineering—including use of techniques such canary testing, perturbation testing, and vulnerability testing. Development of associated toolsets, data systems, build and delivery systems, and runtime services and libraries to support legacy as well as microservice-based production platforms.  
  • Strong knowledge of Incident Management processes, tools, and frameworks. Ability to collaborate on process design. Ability to develop triage and escalation processes and procedures for highly complex systems.
  • Strong knowledge of design and tooling for large-enterprise workloads and data-driven monitoring, including distributed algorithms, principles and practices, IT risk frameworks, data flows, reliability and data consistency. 
  • Managed end-to-end development, delivery and testing of software solutions in areas such as mobility, broadband and video workflows, marketing, sales, order management, customer care, call center, billing, finance, supply chain, network, web services & production operations support.
  • Know order-to-cash IT, cloud, network, data, edge solutions, CRM, UX, large-scale testing, core, network and apps.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical or business discipline, Advanced Degree beneficial.
  • 8+ years of post-graduate business experience including 5+ years in software development and testing environments required.   2+ years in telecom within the last 5 years is ideal.
  • JIRA, Confluence, Test Data Automation and Management, TDAP/eTD M, PFMEA, Bulk Data Automation, API modelling, Web modelling, Configuration Management, Cadence and KPIs.
  • MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Salesforce, Amdocs.  SAFe Practitioner, SRE, Admin certifications beneficial. Experience migrating use cases across domains, multiple legacy data bases.
  • Ability to identify and quantify risks, exposures, and vulnerabilities across many platforms affecting customer experience, deep knowledge of statistics and quantitative display
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.  Can present technically complex concepts clearly, seeking understanding and acknowledgment of critical information. Responsibilities:

  • Lead transformation initiatives with WNA clients looking to change the way they manage and deliver quality assurance and testing in large telecom environments, and the results they achieve.
  • Assess and evaluate current process, technologies, tools, organizations, people and metrics large Quality Assurance organizations.  Define future strategies, and the process, tools, organizations and metrics to optimize those strategies.
  • Lead clients and WNA team members including experienced senior managers, architects and test execution teams through transformational change to delivery improved systems quality, availability, functionality, stability and security.
  • Collaborate with WNA consultants and client senior management, senior technical managers, client architects, and staff to plan and execute comprehensive tests, including schedule and participant responsibilities and analyze test results. Work with IT leaders, engineers, and subject matter experts to identify and execute strategies to improve production platform performance and fault tolerance. Identify and manage metrics, issues, and risks. Issue regular reports.
  • Develop the technology standards for networks, hardware and software, applications, integrations, APIs. Migrate use cases across revisions. Create, release and configure tests, from unit to system-wide, seeking multi-domain buy-in to establish standards, scope, cadence.
  • Leverage the use of techniques such as chaos engineering and automated testing. Includes developing algorithms and methods to monitor applications and platform reliability in addition to developing injection experiments that identify vulnerabilities in the proper domain.
  • Optimize internal processes, organize stakeholder meetings, suggest trade-offs, and articulate mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
  • Provide guidance to SREs on devising effective and efficient approaches to profile and baseline systems, drive automation into platforms, and implement tools that help developer efficiency.
  • Contribute to the overall issue resolution, planning and engineering approaches, identification of resources, and development of timelines. Effectively communicate issues and alternative solutions.

Location:  Dallas, Texas or Atlanta, Georgia strongly preferred. Other locations considered.  Remote through March, 2021 and potentially beyond.

Compensation:  $140,000 – $190,000 / year commensurate with skills and experience.  Bonus potential.
