Wolfe is growing, and we are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to help grow our innovate gifting platform.
The Company
Wolfe, LLC, is an e-commerce company, located in Pittsburgh, PA, focused on next-generation gifting business models.
We are well known for being the company that started the first coupon website in 1995 which sold to a public company in 2000, at the peak of the dot-com era, when we were delivering 20 million page views per month.
We then built Direct Response Technologies; grew it to 70 employees; and sold it to Digital River in 2006. We spun off Jambo Media with our tech team and sold it to Undertone in 2012.
We built and focused on GiftCards.com and in 2016 sold it to Blackhawk Network with over 100 employees.
Our current focus is Gift Card Granny, PerfectGift, and GiftYa. We have grown from 25 employees / contractors in 2019 to 94 in 2021. We are experiencing triple digit growth year over year for 3 years. The Role
As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst on the quality team, you will play a key role improving our disruptive gifting platform – GiftYa.
In this role you will primarily work within our platform team. We work with thousands of national brands and local businesses on the GiftYa Platform. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for designing and implementing robust manual and automation strategies as well as helping to create and enforce good quality practices.
You will need to have experience working on complex systems and implementing both manual and automated tests that has a focus on testing APIs.
You will work in a fast-paced environment with great team collaboration. If you are objective, open-minded, and passionate about creating great products, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering quality to the Platform team both manually and automated.
- Test changes in our lower environments and validate those changes made it to production after deployment.
- Passion for creating test automation using tools like Postman and EndTest.
- Assist in developing a new Cucumber or Page Object based automation framework that can be used across teams.
- Help improve our automation strategies and implementation
- Implement a robust automated regression, lower environment smoke test, and production smoke test suites.
- Add test automation to DevOps pipelines.
- Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
- Provide and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in systems and projects across the organization.
- Participate and contribute to requirement and specification sessions.
- Create test plans and other test artifacts such as test strategy documents, use case documents, usage profiles and security models.
- Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
- Assist Quality Team with rollout of new process, metrics, and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a test automation engineer or developer.
- Operated in a fast paced and agile environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Pragmatic. Good common sense. Ability to make tradeoffs and not get stuck in edge cases.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and data presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate with product and technical teams along with external partners.
- Expert knowledge with test automation tools like EndTest, Selenium, and Postman.
- Knowledge of agile management systems like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with testing APIs using tools like Postman.
