Additional Job Description Additional Job Description Basic Function As a Security Architect you will be responsible for designing, building, testing and implementing security systems within Wolters Kluwer. You will be expected to have a thorough understanding of complex applications and IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems and authentication protocols, as well as best practice security products. Essential Duties and responsibilities In addition to anticipating possible security threats and identifying areas of weakness in application development and the SDLC, you must respond promptly and effectively to possible breaches of security. A Security Architect job description generally includes: Reviewing current application security measures and recommending and implementing enhancements Conducting regular application tests and ensuring continuous monitoring of security breach. Developing project timelines for ongoing system, third party libraries upgrade Ensuring all teams are following the guidelines laid out by the security department Establishing disaster recovery procedures and conducting breach of security drills Promptly responding to all security incidents and providing thorough post-event analyses As a senior member of the IT team, a Security Architect job description should also include cultivating a culture of security awareness and arranging continuing education of team members to ensure security policies are always adhered to. Job Qualifications Education: Required a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related field or having a relevant experience Experience: At least 5 years of working with highly efficient teams of developers, designers, and architects in security context At least 3 years in Architecture and development, delivery of enterprise applications Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and security Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions Experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen and a commercial outlook About Us Wolters Kluwer is a global provider of professional information, software solutions, and services for clinicians, nurses, accountants, lawyers, and tax, finance, audit, risk, compliance, and regulatory sectors.
