What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician - Environmental Services - Nights position at Womans Hospital?
The Floor Technician performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, ancillary areas, public areas and any other areas or projects assigned. All work is done in accordance with the standard procedures of Environmental Services and in accordance with hospital objectives. Uses various cleaning devices, machines, tools, products and supplies needed to complete assigned duties. These duties include but are not limited to waste removal, spill cleanup, vacuuming, conference room setup and keeping common areas up to standards. Performs other duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Writing ability to record data such as room numbers and/or names on lists.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or on request within five minutes of notification.
- Maintains and cleans assigned equipment and requests repairs be made as needed.
- Observes and reports the need to repair furniture, building and fixtures to supervisor.
- Uses supplies, chemicals and equipment properly and in accordance with oral or written instructions.
- Checks all areas keeping them free of spills, stains and debris.
- Checks supplies daily and replenishes as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Full-Time; Nights
10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay Range:
Hourly/Non-Exempt
$12.90 /hour; based on work experience
$2.50 Night Shift Differential
