Full Time Insurance Biller/Coder - Onsite

Women's Care, Inc of Mansfield is seeking a full-time insurance Biller/Coder for our location at 500 S. Trimble Road onsite. The candidate must be able to work the hours of 8AM to 5PM Monday thru Friday in a private practice setting.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for the billing for the insurance department. Follow policies and procedures. Responsible for assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of the provider(s), department(s), schedule(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies on a daily basis

Must be able to balance insurance payments/adjustments to insurance remittance

Ensuring each patient’s medical information and financial information is accurate and up to date

Work with insurance companies and their responses to claims

Check with insurance companies on claimant benefits

Work on past claims and their status’

Reevaluate denied claims from insurance companies for payment

Possess time management skills, along with the ability to multitask

Prior authorizations

Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information

Abide by all HIPAA laws

Must have attention to detail

Must have previous experience dealing with numbers

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to communicate via phone

Must be able to detect time sensitive material

Must be able to sit for 8 hours a day

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED

1-3 years’ experience preferred
