The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. The Dishwasher will also be responsible for maintaining the dishwashing machine and keeping the dishwashing area clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using a dishwashing machine or by hand
- Maintain the dishwashing machine, including cleaning and sanitizing it regularly
- Empty and clean garbage cans and trash receptacles in the dishwashing area
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area
- Follow proper food safety and handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work well with a team and maintain a positive attitude
