About Us:
We are an Armenian culture-based child care center and preschool with two locations in Glendale. We have been in business since 2005, serving children between the ages of 2-5. At Wonder Years Childcare Centers, we work to engage and develop children through dynamic learning processes, effective educational tools and an experienced teaching staff.
Our primary goal is to provide a stimulating, safe and healthy environment for children to learn in. This is done in our two large facilities, 35,000 sq.ft. Riverdale facility that is ideally situated on the corner of Central Avenue and Riverdale Drive in Glendale, CA and our 14,000 sq.ft Glenwood facility located on the corner of Glenwood Rd and Rosedale in Glendale CA.

Position:
We are seeking potential candidates for the position of a full-time or substitute teacher who will be on call.
Job Responsibilities:
Curriculum Implementation: Follow and implement the curriculum to plan and conduct engaging crafts and activities that promote learning and development.
Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages positive social interactions and development.
Lesson Planning: Prepare daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and culturally enriching.
Student Assessment: Observe and evaluate each child’s performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Communication: Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and development.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive teaching environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 12 core ECE units or certification in early childhood education.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children is preferred.
Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in Armenian is required. Bilingual in Armenian and English is a plus.
