What are the responsibilities and job description for the UI Designer position at WONGDOODY?
We are looking for a UI Designer to join WONGDOODY’s Providence, RI studio. As a UI Designer, you will work across multiple industries to design and innovate alongside our global clients. You will collaboratewith the client and our interdisciplinary WONGDOODY team to deliver best-in-class digital products.
In this role you will have the opportunity to explore the boundaries of AI, personalization, AR/VR, and emerging platforms.The role demands a focused andthorough individual with pixel perfect design skills. You must be comfortable with collaborating with UXers, developers,and BAs. You will deliver interface designs and design systems (often Figma, XD, and Sketch)to development teams. An ideal candidate thrives on articulating brandidentityinto digital experiences.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Communicate the value of design to diverse audiences
- Collaborate with the project needed to critically frame design problems•Work with your team and the client on ajourney of product creation based on insights
- Design and communicate effectively through design patterns, micro interactions, and prototypes
- Uphold best practices for design systems that unite the work of design and development•Build and extend component systems that drive positive brand engagement
- Document digital style guides and interface specifications for development teams•Interrogate design constraints from technology and iterate to find compromises when needed
- Communicate designs effectively with development teams•Live our core values: competence, confidence, creativity, consistency, and communication
- Be skilled working in: Figma, Sketch, Craft, InVision, Zeplin, and Adob
WHAT YOU'VE GOT
- An online portfolio of work showcases the above qualities
- 2 years agency-side, commercial experience
- Bachelor's Degree or above in communication, interaction, experience design is a plus
- Experience designing for web, mobile-first and native environments
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
- Very organized and with high attention to detail
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Presentation skills
- A sense of humor!
