Wonolo is looking for an Operations Manager who wants to dive in headfirst and help launch a new initiative for a fast-growing startup making a difference for hundreds of thousands of workers across the US. Reporting to the Regional Head for the West Region, you will be focused on growing and retaining the Wonoloer community in the Dallas & Fort Worth market.
We’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and best-in-class problem-solving skills who can operate independently in a chaotic environment. In this role, you’ll be expected to own the supply side of one of Wonolo’s top markets and be the “boots on the ground”, serving as an expert on the local market and implementing strategies to grow and engage the local worker base. This is a unique opportunity to set the foundation of success for developing markets and to work with a top-notch team at Wonolo.
We welcome qualified candidates located anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area. This role will be fully remote in the DFW area.
\n- Work with other Marketplace Team members to create, launch and refine processes that support a market’s supply-side (worker) growth
- Own your market’s budget, keeping ROI in mind for all of your initiatives
- Use data to playbook, execute and track operational processes that have been created
- Set a market timeline, as well as milestones and goals, for your initiatives and show progress towards your milestones
- Form relationships with community leaders and businesses to foster the development of Wonolo’s business
- Grow a community of passionate Wonoloers in your market
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to find new customers and expand business with existing customers
- Hire and manage locally-based Operations Specialists, Operations Associates, and Customer On-Sites to support your initiatives
- 2-6 years of experience in consulting, finance, and/or operations
- You are an entrepreneur at heart, a self-motivated hustler, and able to operate independently with minimal oversight
- You’re able to quickly and efficiently problem solve and troubleshoot - if you don’t know the answer, you know where to look and whom to ask
- You are strong in data analysis and presenting data in a digestible way to support your decision-making
- You’re an outstanding communicator, with the ability to interact and connect with many types of personalities
- You’re a patient teacher and have a passion for empowering others
- Experience and proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Forms)
- You demonstrate a commitment to advancing representation and inclusion
- Marketplace and/or startup experience is a strong plus
- Knowledge of SQL is a strong plus
- Some type of sales or customer-facing experience is a plus
- Experience with Iterable (or other communication and survey tools), Salesforce (or other CRM tools), and/or Looker (or other data analytics tools)
