JOB SUMMARY: To maintain and provide clean and sanitary dishes for both staff and guests. Assist with staff meal and cleanliness of other areas assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Properly maintain and run the dish machine.
- Proper use of all chemicals and where and how to use them.
- Maintain the proper cleanliness of the kitchen, coolers, freezer, cafeteria storerooms and all walls and floors.
- Ensure that all food, chemicals are stored properly when orders arrive.
- Make sure the line, pastry, and restaurant have the service ware needed for the day (i.e. proper flatware serving utensils, plates, and cups).
- Always be busy
- Sweep and mop floors when needed.
- Remove garbage when needed.
- Make sure cafeteria has all dishes, silverware and cups for mealtime and maintain the proper par. Along with checking on cleanliness, removing – replacing dishes and food when needed.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all Amangiri staff, management, and guest.
- Store all items properly at the end of shift, labeling and dating all products pulled from the cafeteria (tumbleweed).
- Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
- Always ensure appropriate communication with all staff and guests
- The cafeteria is all our responsibilities and if items are not correct or not clean it is your responsibility to fix it.
- Always conduct oneself in a professional manner and encourage other staff to do the same.
- Have a flexible schedule and must work holidays.
- Clean and organize all coolers before shift is over.
- Adhere to all guidelines in the employee handbook.
- Perform other task or projects as assigned by hotel management.
REQUIREMENTS: This position is extremely physical in nature. All employees must expect the following for sustained periods during each work shift:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift potentially heavy loads, sit, twist, etc. for prolonged periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Oral proficiency in the English language.
- High School graduate or G.E.D.
