What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Medical Staff Services position at Wood County Hospital?
Wood County Hospital is seeking a Director of Medical Staff Services. The individual will provide personal care and professional excellence by coordinating Quality Improvement activities for the hospital. In consultation with the Chief of Staff, you are an essential link between the Board of Trustees, Senior Management, Medical Staff Office, and the Medical Staff to promote and enhance good communication and positive working relationships.
We’re looking to you to deliver best practice administrative management for all aspects of the medical staff organization. You will:
- Support medical staff leadership
- Oversee medical staff services department operations
- Ensure medical staff and hospital collaboration
- Supervise, guide, and direct staff
- Develop changes to the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations for approval
- Establish, contribute, and maintain continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to Medical Staff members relating to credentialing, quality, and administrative functions
- Responsible for preparation, organization, and follow-up involved in maintaining hospital accreditation and licensure relative to the Medical Staff requirements of accrediting bodies.
- Collaborate on other projects as assigned
Qualifications
We’re seeking a proven leader with:
- Related Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years' experience with credentialing, privileging, and regulatory compliance within a medical staff services setting
- Knowledge of MD Staff Software and CVO, preferred
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management, preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Shift Details:
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Shift: 8:00AM-5:00PM
