CAD / CAE Tools administrator

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an Engineering Systems Engineer for the Milan office. The Engineering Systems responsibilities include the following:

1. Coordinate the following with engineering disciplines subject matter experts:
   1. Researching and advising on new applications and technology
   2. Evaluating new products and giving feedback to engineering community
   3. Training engineering user base in new and existing technology
   4. Supporting engineering user base in use of the software
2. Requisitioning additional engineering hardware, services and software, as required
3. Configuring engineering and design applications
4. Customising in-house and third party applications
5. Provide Catalogue and Specifications support to projects as necessary
6. Prepare and maintain department specific procedures, processes and controls
7. Compile and maintain information regarding Engineering Systems activities required to carry out the above functions
8. Keep abreast of developments about Engineering Design Systems within the Oil and Gas Industry and respond accordingly
9. Specify, Requisition and deliver LIDAR laser scan services
10. Support the project data manager and project information manager
11. Complying with the applicable HSE requirements regarding to their health and safety care
12. Assist Proposals to prepare estimates and input to Tenders and Proposals as required
13. Provide Engineering Systems service to specific projects as required. The Engineering Systems group shall leverage on larger wide community of Engineering Systems specialists, which provides a readily available pool of knowledge and resources. The Engineering Systems team provides assistance to the Project for the setup configuration and support of all Engineering Systems applications such as:
1. 3D (e.g. E3D / S3D )
2. Catalogue and Specifications (including CLA ELENA / AVEVA Catalogue Manager )
3. 2D (e.g. SP P&ID / AVEVA Diagrams)
4. Instrumentation and Electrical (e.g. Intergraph Hexagon SPI-SPE / AVEVA Instrumentation-Electrical)
5. 1D (e.g. AVEVA Engineering)

Skills / Qualifications

1. Degree in Engineering
2. Good English
3. Fluent in Italian
