Wood is recruiting an SPS Delivery Manager to manage our clients Subsea Production System (SPS) delivery and is owner of the SPS contract, with full responsibility for the results of the team including effective integration with the overall project.
The role is based at Contractors office in Leeds (UK) with regular visits to fabrication sites (Europe and SE Asia) and Company main office (Romania). Expected travel per year around 60-80 days.
Reports to the Project Director, Offshore.

Key Responsibilities
- Directs and manages the delivery of the SPS on a complex technologically novel deep water production system
- Accountable for the entire scope of work that is associated with the SPS equipment (comprising Subsea Trees, Subsea Controls, Manifold and ancillary equipment), including effective integration as part of the overall project requirements
- Accountable the SPS meeting project technical, cost and schedule requirements without compromise to safety or operability
- Responsible for successful delivery of SPS elements being installed on the SWP, together with deep water and new technology aspects relating to the SPS scope
- Ensure alignment between Company and Contractor on project goals and objectives; and to establish and maintain productive and collaborative working relationship
- Ensure contract risk management, constructability, and safety-in-design activities are conducted within scope
- Review and endorsement of MOCs for assigned work scope and as necessary ensure implementation of changes
- Minimise changes to scope of work, change orders, and specification deviations within scope
- Champion the integration of delivery across Offshore delivery streams as well as with Wells
Skills / Qualifications
- BSc / MSc within relevant engineering discipline
- Previous international offshore oil and gas industry experience including deep water design, delivery and operations
- Previous leadership experience
- Track record of delivery in major projects
- Experience in delivering subsea production components or systems
- Has a structured delivery approach while being highly responsive to ad-hoc tasks, change and project tasks outside SPS delivery
- Demonstrates proactive leadership with ability to motivate and supervise team members and contractors
- Ability to optimise resource allocation
- Possesses enterprise view and strong business acumen and will lead integration across teams (also outside SPS Delivery team)
- Ensure timely delivery at right quality
- Strong communication and reporting
- Strong stakeholder management
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong personal commitment to HSSE
- Provide leadership and direction to drive the team to achieve HSSE objectives
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local and international HSSE legislation
