Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a Senior HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Department located in Roseville, CA. We are seeking someone that enjoys planning, , coordinating, and implementing HR management activities.
A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers’ Senior HR Generalist:
While there is no typical day in Human Resources, there are a few things that you can count on:
- Coordinate the new hire onboarding process for consistency and efficiency, ensuring successful completion of each step by all parties
- Understand and assist with administration and compliance of our employee benefit programs; work with external benefit vendors and brokers to stay updated; and, monitor the transmission of data for eligibility changes and the annual enrollment process
- Maintain up-to-date employee records, establish personnel files; maintain compliant filing systems under applicable legal requirements
- Process personnel action forms and ensure proper approvals; disseminate approved forms
- Monitor all Leaves of Absence for accuracy and timeliness of documentation
- Assist with Workers’ Compensation reporting, management and follow up
- Maintain file for I-9 Forms and EEOC disclosures
- Assist in the design and implementation of HR policies and benefits for employees; help create and plan employee communications and events using various channels
- Provide HR policy guidance, interpretation and excellent working knowledge of all HR services
The ante
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience handling essential HR generalist functions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or related field
- Thorough knowledge of HR functional areas and understanding of legal and regulatory requirements
- Ability to travel throughout the State of California and Nevada; overnight travel a possibility
