Responsibilities
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying project scope, preliminary designs, specifications, and related documents.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, materials, cost of contracts, etc.
- Use cost other project data to develop initial and funding estimates for projects as part of the project team.
- Prepare additional estimates at various stages of projects to support the project through its lifecycle.
- Monitor forecast and actual project spending as a means of improving the estimating process.
- Responsible for preparing formal estimate documents.
- Take reasonable care of your own health & safety and of others who may be affected by you.
- Co-operate with Wood’s and client’s HSSE requirements by following all relevant health and safety policies and practice safe work habits.
- 5 years of practical applied experience in estimating all disciplines for capital projects.
- Solid knowledge and experience in the use of spreadsheets and other estimating tools.
- Experience with Aspen’s Capital Cost or In-Plant Cost Estimator software (Icarus™).
- Good experience and skill set in the use of Microsoft’s suite of office products.
