Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Field Technician to work in the Powder River Basin area working on the Carbon Creek Energy project, near Gillette, Wyoming. This is a full-time permanent position with the full suite of benefits, including multiple health, dental and vision insurance plans, PTO, 401k, life insurance and much more. #woodwyoming
Gillette and Buffalo area applicants are preferred but not necessary.
Applicants must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of all compression equipment
- Have a strong safety mindset and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Complete preventive maintenance and repair of compression equipment
- Track and schedule preventive maintenance
- Maintain preventive maintenance records and logs
- Assist in setting small compression units throughout the field
- Rebuild pumps and install bearings on electrical motors
- Troubleshoot and fix mechanical pumps
- Troubleshoot and fix small compression units to optimize gas production
- Other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
0-2 years of experience in equipment operating or other relevant work experience
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Basic computer skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Able to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
Able to identify issues and may or may not be able to fix them without assistance
Able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients and other external contacts
Must be able to work in all weather conditions
