Job Posting for Elementary Teachers at Woodbury Campus-Mountain View Union ESD
The Mountain View Union Elementary School District is seeking two dynamic and innovative teachers with an elementary teaching license or the ability to obtain one to join its team. The grade assignments for this position are expected to be in Grade K/1 and Grade 2/3 classrooms at Woodbury Elementary School. Woodbury Elementary School is committed to working closely with our many community partners to provide a rich educational experience for our students. We have a robust winter wellness and outdoor education program. We frequently work in collaboration with the Woodbury Community Library and local artists within the community. We have a committed and strong parent group (Friends of WES) that works to bring unique opportunities to our school community.
The ideal candidate will have a:
- Passion for inspiring and working with elementary students.
- Strong understanding of child development, growth mindset, and trauma-informed practices.
- Commitment to building strong relationships, preventative classroom management, and active differentiation.
- Working knowledge of researched supported best practices for early literacy instruction.
- Working knowledge of Bridges Mathematics.
Mountain View Union Elementary School District (or Mountain View) is comprised of the towns of Hardwick, Woodbury, Greensboro, and Stannard. Students typically attend the town in which they reside, with Stannard students attending on the Greensboro campus. School choice is an option within Mountain View. Woodbury Elementary School is located in Woodbury, VT, and serves students in grades K-6. The school population is approximately 55 students.
