Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager's primary responsibility is to collect and accurately reflect accounts receivable of the facility.
Education
A High School diploma required. Health care accounting and/or billing experience preferred, but not required
Qualifications:
1. Must have some accounting experience
2.Must have computer skills
3. Must be able to type and use the office equipment adequately.
4. Will receive on-the-job training regarding proper handling of administrative matters according to formulation policies as well as offsite training at central accounting offices.
5. Has ability to work well with the general public.
6. Has ability to meet and deal with a variety of employees, residents and relatives.
7. Considerable initiative and judgment is needed in promoting favorable public relations.
8. Must be sociable, courteous and have a memory for details.
9. Must have a pre-employment and an annual Tuberculosis screening exam.
Responsibilities:
1. Handles resident billing and collection per prescribed procedures.
2. Records facility census information daily.
3. Attends daily and weekly facility-required meetings.
4. Is familiar with insurance coverage on residents in order to channel their medical bills and supplies
5. Handles Resident Trust Fund duties as assigned
6. Relates knowledgeable information regarding admission requirements and rates.
7. Is familiar with the admission folder and admission procedure for new and re-admissions.
8. Enters pertinent information regarding new residents into the computer.
9. Has working knowledge of all office procedures and systems.
10. Answers the telephone as needed
11. Assists Administrator in other duties as directed.
