Job Title: Dishwasher/Pot Washer
Reports To: Chef, Sous Chef and Banquet Chef
Position Purpose: Reports to work in uniform. Sets up and maintains workstation. Works in clean, sanitary condition on timely basis. Helps clean vegetables. Keeps dishwasher and adjacent area clean. Operates dish machine. Keep soap and rinse dry at appropriate level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep floors swept and mopped.
- Polishes all shaving dishes, silver trays and saucers.
- Prepares tableware for washing in dishwasher and once a week for the burnishing machine.
- Cleans all cooking equipment, cutting boards, trashcans and recycle bins.
- Help plating for Banquets.
- Fills dishwasher with water at beginning of shift, empties and cleans at the end of each shift.
- Cleans front cooks line, steam tables and stainless worktables.
- Sorts and arranges all shelves and china carts.
- Empties all garbage and recycle bins.
- Helps with cleaning of carrots, onions and potatoes.
- Breaks down all boxes.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education and Work Experience Qualifications
Prior kitchen experience not required. Must be able to follow directions.
