Job Summary
The Driver/Stock Person are expected to drive any vehicle for which they are appropriately licensed to accomplish work for any aspect of the operation of Woods Services, not just for the area they may be primarily assigned. Responsibilities
- All drivers operate vehicles for Woods Services.
- Drivers are expected to drive any vehicle for which they are appropriately licensed to accomplish work for any aspect of the operation of Woods Services, not just for the area they may be primarily assigned.
- This job description is for a driver assigned to work in Food and Nutrition Services.
- Sets up, delivers and returns food and non-food items from the Food and Nutrition services department to the designated locations while maintaining proper control of food products to ensure safe, sanitary conditions of food, and equipment according to regulatory standards.
- Sets up delivery items for assigned schedule according to written run sheets.
- Follows a timely delivery schedule to deliver and pick up all food items from the FNS department to the satellite kitchens and designated locations.
- Ensures temperature controls of hot and cold food products according to regulatory standards throughout delivery.
- Handles food items in a safe and sanitary manner and according to department procedures.
- Operates and maintains all delivery equipment in a safe and sanitary manner including daily sanitation for assigned truck.
- Follows all established policies and procedures of the department.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Assists in other positions and areas as needed.
- Approximately 80% of workday involves lifting/moving heavy food items/containers
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent desired, not mandatory
- Six months related experience desired, but not mandatory.
- Able to read, count items and follow written delivery schedules.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 75lbs.
- Great physical activity and agility. Ability to maintain balance while bending, twisting, stretching, reaching and carrying items.
- Able to work fluctuating hours and in all weather conditions.
- Valid Pennsylvania or New Jersey driver’s license and a good driving record required.
